What is passivation?<\/h5>\n

Passivation is a chemical process in which a thin, protective passive layer<\/strong> is created on a metallic surface. This layer prevents oxygen or other corrosive media from reacting directly with the metal – without changing the actual surface. <\/p>\n

Particularly important: the passivation is color-neutral and does not affect dimensions or subsequent machinability. It is therefore ideal for components that are further processed in downstream processes such as welding, bonding or painting. <\/p>\n

When is bright protection used?<\/h5>\n

Bright protection by passivation is used wherever metallic components are used:<\/p>\n
