We are pleased to announce that Rieger Metallveredlung GmbH & Co KG has been an official member of the Baden-Württemberg Climate Alliance since March 2025. For us, this membership is much more than a formal membership – it is a recognition of our consistent commitment to sustainable, future-oriented business.

A visible sign of responsibility

The award from the Climate Alliance underlines our claim not only to offer high-quality metal finishing at the highest technical level, but also to take responsibility for the environment and society. We are one of only a few companies in Baden-Württemberg to take this step: Climate protection and industrial performance are not mutually exclusive – on the contrary, they belong together.

Our commitment: climate neutrality step by step

We have committed to completely avoiding our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 2035. We have been using green electricity for our electrical energy since 2014. We want to have converted our heat generation to be completely climate-friendly by 2029. We are also pursuing ambitious reduction targets in the area of Scope 3 – indirect emissions in our supply chain.

We have developed these climate targets together with experts from the alliance and set them down in writing – including clear interim targets and concrete measures. This is not a vision, but a binding plan.

The Baden-Württemberg Climate Alliance stands for cooperation, knowledge sharing and practical implementation. By joining, we are part of a committed network of companies that are working together to make Baden-Württemberg a climate-proof industrial location.

We particularly value the open dialog and the opportunity to share our own experiences and learn from others. Because sustainable transformation can only succeed if we work together.

Our investments in energy-efficient processes, our many years of purchasing green electricity and our clear focus on climate-friendly technologies are an expression of this self-image.

This commitment is now visibly confirmed with the award as a Climate Alliance company – and spurs us on even further.

Joining the Climate Alliance is an important milestone for us – but not the end of the line. In the coming years, we will continue to expand our measures and report regularly on our progress.

Because for us it is clear: sustainable success can only be achieved where economic efficiency and a sense of ecological responsibility go hand in hand.
