Iron is one of the oldest and longest known metals that man has encountered in his development. That is why iron is considered one of the most important raw materials. It is used and processed almost everywhere. Due to its good current and heat conductivity, it finds many uses in the electrical industry. Its high density and stability make it a preferred material in the construction industry and a material in the automotive industry.
Another characteristic of iron is that it can be processed in its pure state or with various alloying additions such as titanium or chromium to produce steel and stainless steel, better known as stainless steel.
